He’s only the second boxer to ever be immortalized in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. On Saturday March 20th, Canelo Álvarez placed his hands and feet in the concrete during a traditional ceremony at the legendary Hollywood landmark.
Carlos Amezcua spoke one-on-one with Canelo, who described how grateful he is to be honored and how proud he is to represent his home country of Mexico. The event was sponsored by HollyGold which donated $10,000 to the Canelo Álvarez charity.
Canelo Álvarez is set to fight again on May 8th against Billy Joe Saunders.
