Getting through tough times according to Dr. G

Dr. Howard Gluss is sharing a personal experience with Carlos Amezcua that shaped his youth. He suffered from a bone disease that left him needing multiple surgeries. Those surgeries would require him to have to learn to walk again, which left him feeling alone and with a lot of shame. He says he got through it with the help of a social worker who pushed him with some tough love. Dr. Gluss says it gave him a sense of resilience.
