You may remember actress Yasmine Al Massri from the hit ABC TV show “Quantico”. She tells Carlos Amezcua about how the short film “Refugee” breaks your heart and also fills it with empathy. The film is a finalist in the French Riviera Film Festival this weekend. The festival takes place at the same time as Cannes, but it’s specifically meant for shorts. The festival will take place this year in Beverly Hills this weekend.

She also shares her personal experience of growing up in a refugee environment during the Lebanese civil war. She says that experience taught her to never take anything for granted.
