Jessica Darrow tells Carlos Amezcua about auditioning for “Encanto” just before the pandemic and getting that call that she got the role of Luisa. How she says she’s been obsessed with Lin-Manuel Miranda since she was young and what the opportunity was like for her to sing his songs in this film! The story she says is so relatable to everyone though it’s told through the lens of a Latino family. Darrow says it’s a really fun look at family dynamics and how we each fit into family and community.
