You’ve seen Paula Garcés on the popular Netflix show “On My Block”. Now Garcés is telling us about creating the Latina superhero “Aluna” to celebrate the ancient civilizations of South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. She shares with Carlos Amezcua that a major goal of the “Aluna” comic books and video game is to unite Latino cultures. She says it’s an underdog story and story of hope. But she says there’s also action, adventure and even romance.
