World’s busiest airport, Musk’s Twitter plans change 4/11/22

There’s a new episode in the “Elon Musk / Twitter” soap opera. And we now know the world’s busiest airport. Some big, red numbers to start the week on Wall Street… while investors prep for tomorrow’s release of the Consumer Price Index.

The Dow fell 413 to close at 34,308
The Nasdaq fell over 2%. Down 299.
The S&P dropped 1.7%, down 75 points.

The Biden administration expects the Consumer Price Index, or key inflation report, to be “extraordinarily inflated.” In February, it rose 7.9% over the previous 12 months to its highest level since 1982.

Elon Musk is now backing off his plans to join the board of Twitter after disclosing his 9% stake in the company. Now some are wondering if he plans a “hostile takeover” of Twitter. That could lead to more stock volatility.

And U.S. airports made up 8 of the 10 busiest airports in the world last year. The busiest airport? That would be Atlanta International, Delta’s hub, with 75 million passengers. Dallas Fort-Worth came in second. Denver, Chicago O’Hare and L.A. round out the top 5.
