In 2008 Mariluz Gonzalez was the publicist for Fonovisa, but when the company was bought out by Universal, she was laid off. But shortly after, artists started contacting her to PR help, and she says she hasn’t looked back. She still works with Fonovisa/Universal as a client, and with many musicians and cultural festivals. Mariluz says the pandemic hasn’t slowed her and her clients down.
